Wife is coming back! Tonight (Sunday)
Have spent a lot of time with the kids this week. Luckily had a teaching assistant at their school staying over on the weekdays to help. But this weekend was just me and the kids. Parents can relate – the morning wake up and the putting to bed is the struggle (at least for me). Have a blog with photos of some of our adventures if you’re interested.

Last week’s update I mentioned I was told Bloomberg would release the piece – and they did! It was a 23 minute podcast about “An American ecommerce seller / entrepreneur caught in the cross fires in the USA / China trade war”. I really thought about all the other hustlers like me just trying to go about our business.
Going to Taiwan Tuesday to Friday
Will be flying to Taiwan on Tuesday morning from Chiang Mai. I know, as soon as Wendy is back, I leave. Will be hosting a workshop at the MOX incubator and spending time with some of the startups there.

ARC fund – a specific fund
At Alpha Rock Capital, investors have asked to start smaller investment projects – so the first one will be an automotive parts ecommerce brand. I’m helping to raise 250,000 USD from investors for 49% ownership with a minimum investment of 50,000 USD per investor. Alpha Rock’s team will still manage the brand, and be a 51% owner.

Cross Border Summit 2020 Still Planning
Still need to make a long term plan for Cross Border Summit and the relationship and investment plan with Alpha Rock Capital. The team was traveling a lot last week and hope to make a good plan for 2020, as so many people are asking for details on the next Cross Border Summit. But Rise Conference just announced they will skip Hong Kong this year and do it in March 2021 – it is true – the trade war is not helping cross border trade.
New Site for WP2Static (Static Sites)
Leon has been working overtime this weekend and released a new site and updates for the WP2Static project – which helps people convert their website from WordPress to static.

Highlights – last Friday published a podcast on Alpha Rock Capital podcast with John Cavendish on how expanding to Amazon Europe is a good move if you are buying a US only Amazon business. And last week’s podcast on Global From Asia – how a 7 figure seller makes money with no VA, no freelancers, no staff – all with service providers. (It got me thinking actually, ahah!)
